Dr. Michael R. AndrewsDr. Andrews is a 1967 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He served as Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps from 1967-1969, and saw active duty in Vietnam from 1968-1969. His first position as an associate veterinarian was at Randall Veterinary Hospital in Warrensville Heights, OH from 1969-1975. He has been at Tallmadge Animal Hospital since 1975. His pets include two rescue cats, Lucy and Cat’n Hook and a very exuberant Golden Retriever, Jamie.PresidentDr. Tracy BuckwalterWe are very fortunate to have Dr. Tracy Buckwalter on our team. A University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine graduate, she sees patients when Dr. Andrews is out of the office.
Susan E. AndrewsSusan has been part of veterinary medicine her entire life, having grown up in a family with her father as a veterinarian. She has been a dedicated educator, wife, mother, and grandmother, and always plays an active role in making Tallmadge Animal Hospital a better place. Nina Nina retired at the end of 2021 after 45 1/2 years of service to the veterinary profession, hospital, pets, and clients. She has graciously agreed to support our work intermittently and share her wealth of knowledge. We miss her on a daily basis, but are happy to have her still in our TAH family. Nina says that she was honored to serve the many pets and their owners over her long career.RVT, Hospital ManagerSarahSarah has recently assumed many roles at TAH. Both front office and back of hospital benefit from her work ethic and expertise. Reception area, exam rooms, pharmacy, inventory, patient records, and coordinating schedules are just some of her responsibilities. Training new staff has become an important part of her job at Tallmadge Animal Hospital. She is integral to the work and service provided to our patients and clients.Hospital CoordinatorLyndseyLyndsey’s busy schedule includes keeping the reception area moving efficiently by greeting clients, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and filling medication and diet orders. A graduate of Kent State University, she works part time most mornings, and spends the rest of her day as a full time mom.Receptionist/Animal Care AttendantGraceGrace is our newest team member. She’s one of the helpful staff who greets clients as they check in, answers the phone, schedules appointments, and fills medications and diets. She has two cats that are always happy when she comes home.Receptionist/Animal Care AttendantOwenOwen is a full time student at Kent State University studying finance. When he’s not in class or working, he’s a competitive swimmer. His responsibilities at the hospital include greeting clients as they check in, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and filling medications and diet orders. Owen is also charged with keeping everyone in a good mood.Receptionist/Animal Care AttendantJessicaJessica works part time at TAH while working on a Veterinary Assistant Career Diploma. She assists in the examination rooms, recording information and keeping patients comfortable while they are being treated. She also helps with phone inquiries and filling medications. In addition, she is busy with two young kiddos and a new kitty.Veterinary AssistantRachelRachel is a recent graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Zoology and a minor in Environmental Sciences. She has joined our “zoo” part time and assists in examination rooms, fills medications, and helps clients with phone inquiries.Veterinary AssistantKaitlynKaitlyn is currently studying to earn her Registered Veterinary Technician degree. This program is very intense, and she can sometimes be seen studying during breaks. Her part time duties at TAH include supporting patients during treatment and examinations, preparing medications, client communication, and recording medical history.
Veterinary AssistantThomasThomas is a high school student who works part time keeping the hospital clean and sanitized after a busy day of patients. A hockey player, his experience of working with a team has made him valuable as a team member at TAH.Facilities Attendant
