He served as Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps from 1967-1969, and saw active duty in Vietnam from 1968-1969. His first position as an associate veterinarian was at Randall Veterinary Hospital in Warrensville Heights, OH from 1969-1975. He has been at Tallmadge Animal Hospital since 1975. His pets include two rescue cats, Lucy and Cat’n Hook and a very exuberant Golden Retriever, Jamie. President Dr. Tracy Buckwalter We are very fortunate to have Dr. Tracy Buckwalter on our team. A University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine graduate, she sees patients two days a week and fills in when Dr. Andrews is out of the office. She offers your pets the same care and attention that you have come to expect from all of us at Tallmadge Animal Hospital. Susan E. Andrews Susan has been part of veterinary medicine her entire life, having grown up in a family with her father as a veterinarian. She has been a dedicated educator, wife, mother, and grandmother, and always plays an active role in making Tallmadge Animal Hospital a better place. She is an essential part of its success. Vice President Nina Nina retired at the end of 2021 after 45 1/2 years of service to the veterinary profession, hospital, pets, and clients. She has graciously agreed to support our work intermittently and share her wealth of knowledge. We miss her on a daily basis, but are happy to have her still in our TAH family. Nina says that she was honored to serve the many pets and their owners over her long career. RVT, Hospital Manager Lisa Lisa is a veterinary assistant with several years of experience at Tallmadge Animal Hospital. She is the person who will go the extra mile for anyone and any animal needing her abilities. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and caring attitude make her an integral member of our team. Veterinary Assistant Lauryn Lauryn is moving into new responsibilities with a new title. As she is managing issues related to the business workings of the hospital, she will still have hands-on contact with the pets and their owners to continue the care and service that she has always provided. We’re grateful for her dedication to the standards of the hospital and for her love of animals. Business Coordinator Azia Azia balances a full college schedule with part time hours at Tallmadge Animal Hospital. Her main contribution includes assisting in exam rooms during appointments. Animal Care Attendant Hailee Hailee’s role at TAH has grown this past year. Her responsibilities include maintaining a safe and healthy environment, assisting in exam rooms, and assisting during dental and surgical procedures. She is attending school with the goal of obtaining her RVT license. Animal Care Attendant Olivia After working at Tallmadge Animal Hospital during her undergrad years, Olivia was accepted to The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has returned during holiday and summer breaks to become a vital member of the hospital team. Olivia will be starting her third year in Columbus as a veterinary student this fall, 2021. Jenna Jenna is one of our newest team members. As she prepares for college, she’ll be working in the reception area, answering phones, greeting clients, and helping to make things move smoothly in exam rooms. Welcome, Jenna! Receptionist and Animal Care Assistant Madison Madison has recently joined our staff and has taken on the responsibilities of an animal care attendant. She assists in examination rooms, works to maintain a safe and healthy environment, and helps in whatever other capacity is needed. She is currently in the Animal Sciences program at a local career center. Animal Care Attendant Kelly Kelly is back and we couldn’t be happier! She supports all phases of the hospital that include communication with clients, scheduling appointments, assisting in exam rooms, preparing medications, and general hospital sanitation. Of course, loving on animals is something that our entire staff enjoys. Animal Care Attendant Haley Haley comes to us as a recent graduate of the Veterinary Assistant Program at Northcoast Medical Training Academy. Her skill and love of animals make her a valuable addition to our team! Animal Care Attendant
