Dr. Michael R. Andrews Dr. Andrews is a 1967 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He served as Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps from 1967-1969, and saw active duty in Vietnam from 1968-1969. His first position as an associate veterinarian was at Randall Veterinary Hospital in Warrensville Heights, OH from 1969-1975. He has been at Tallmadge Animal Hospital since 1975. His pets include two rescue cats, Lucy and Cat’n Hook and a very exuberant Golden Retriever, Jamie. President Susan E. Andrews Susan has been part of veterinary medicine her entire life, having grown up in a family with her father as a veterinarian. She has been a dedicated educator, wife, mother, and grandmother, and always plays an active role in making Tallmadge Animal Hospital a better place. She is an essential part of its success. Vice President Nina Nina retired at the end of 2021 after 45 1/2 years of service to the veterinary profession, hospital, pets, and clients. She has graciously agreed to support our work intermittently and share her wealth of knowledge. We miss her on a daily basis, but are happy to have her still in our TAH family. Nina says that she was honored to serve the many pets and their owners over her long career. RVT, Hospital Manager Sarah Sarah has recently assumed many roles at TAH. Both front office and back of hospital benefit from her work ethic and expertise. Reception area, exam rooms, pharmacy, inventory, patient records, and coordinating schedules are just some of her responsibilities. Training new staff has become an important part of her job at Tallmadge Animal Hospital. She is integral to the work and service provided to our patients and clients. Hospital Coordinator Owen Owen is a full time student at Kent State University studying finance. When he’s not in class or working, he’s a competitive swimmer. His responsibilities at the hospital include greeting clients as they check in, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and filling medications and diet orders. Owen is also charged with keeping everyone in a good mood. Receptionist/Animal Care Attendant Jessica Jessica works part time at TAH while working on a Veterinary Assistant Career Diploma. She assists in the examination rooms, recording information and keeping patients comfortable while they are being treated. She also helps with phone inquiries and filling medications. In addition, she is busy with two young kiddos and a new kitty. Veterinary Assistant Rachel Rachel is a recent graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Zoology and a minor in Environmental Sciences. She has joined our “zoo” part time and assists in examination rooms, fills medications, and helps clients with phone inquiries. Veterinary Assistant Tina Tina joins our staff with much experience in animal health and welfare. She has years of assisting in all phases of veterinary work, and brings a valuable knowledge of animal behavior, client communication, and teamwork. Welcome, Tina! Veterinary Assistant Thomas Thomas’s responsibilities have grown during his time at TAH. He is now a helpful voice on the phone, at the front desk, and in the exam rooms. He also works to keep the hospital environment clean and sanitary. A senior in high school, his future is bright! Receptionist/Animal Care Attendant Hailee She’s back and we couldn’t be happier. Hailee’s love of animals, her empathy for owners, and her knowledge of medical procedures make her an asset to our work at the hospital. Veterinary Assistant Gwyn Gwyn works alongside others in the front office to welcome clients, answer phone calls, and assist in moving patients and their owners to exam rooms. The front office and phones can be a very busy place, and her skills are evident! Receptionist/Animal Care Attendant Lisa Lisa is back with us! We may have had some help with the picture of her with precious Cece, but it shows the delight they share in each other’s company. Lisa is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the hospital, and she is our own self-professed Cat Lady. In addition, she has her own cookie business, Cece’s Bite Size Cookies. Veterinary Assistant Kaitlyn Kaitlyn is currently studying to earn her Registered Veterinary Technician degree. This program is very intense, and she can sometimes be seen studying during breaks. Her part time duties at TAH include supporting patients during treatment and examinations, preparing medications, client communication, and recording medical history. Veterinary Assistant Collin Collin is an ambitious and hardworking high school student. He takes his responsibilities to keep the hospital environment clean and sanitary for patients, owners, and staff very seriously. Facilities Attendant
