Tallmadge Animal Hospital has proudly been AAHA accredited since 1968. Accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association is the only way to ensure that a veterinary practice is operating at the highest standards of excellence in animal care. Pet owners gain peace of mind when they choose an accredited practice, because they know their AAHA-accredited hospital has passed the highest standards of veterinary care.

As we remember those who have lost their lives in the defense of our country, let us also recognize the sacrifice made by the highly trained, loyal dogs who serve. (A surprising number of people forget that all important second step.) The chip alone will not identify your cat or dog; the information that you provide to the registry is what will result in a happy reunion! And.... if your information changes (like a new address and different contact information), that must also be changed on the registry. Microchipping, along with a collar and tags, is your best insurance policy to bring your precious pet home. ... See MoreSee Less

Consider the ONION... or garlic, or chives, or leeks, or any member of the allium family. Dogs and cats are highly susceptible to thiosulphate, an ingredient found in these foods, whether raw or cooked. Onion toxicity can be lethal to your pet and can cause Hemolytic anemia, which is characterized by damage to red blood cells. In this season of hamburgers on the grill, please keep these toppings well out of the reach of your precious furry family member. If you suspect ingestion, please call your veterinarian without hesitation or take your pet to an emergency clinic. ... See MoreSee Less
